Fred Carr

1941 - 2009, Santa Barbara

Fred Carr died on May 20, 2009 after a long battle with cancer. He lived a broad and wonderful life. He leant his inventive mind to many things: from the first wind farm and other alternative energy projects to the original HOTUB of Santa Barbara and lastly his VertiGate design that is still manufactured. There were many projects and laughs in between.

There will be a Fred Carr Memorial Picnic at Tuckers Grove on Sunday, August 2 at Noon. Please email bcarr@silcom.com if you are able to attend.
