Karl C. Lind

Karl C. Lind, 49, died at his home in Ojai on February 15. Karl was born in Ridgecrest, CA, on Sept. 29, 1959. He graduated with highest honors from Northrop University’s Avionics and Airframe Program in 1985. After employment as an avionics technician for Pacific Coast Airlines and Santa Barbara Aviation, Karl worked as lead technician for Santa Barbara Infrared for almost 20 years.

Karl loved computers, drafting, and carpentry, and played the clarinet and other musical instruments. He was an avid outdoors man, skilled in skiing, sailing, and scuba diving, and enjoyed camping and hiking with his many good friends. He is survived by his mother Judy Lind (Darold Skerritt) of Pacific Grove, his sister Karen Tucker (Rob) and niece Katie Tucker of South Lake Tahoe, and his dear friend Gail Harris of Ventura.

An informal memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, March 15, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the home of Aaron and Nina Austin, 837 Margo St., Santa Barbara. Phone (805) 560-0517 for directions.
