Eileen Curran LaFlamme

1954 - 2012, Santa Barbara

Eileen Curran LaFlamme, born February 4, 1954, passed away suddenly on January 16th in Santa Barbara, California.

A Philadelphia native, she raised her two sons in Drexel Hill, PA. Eileen spent the last seven years of her life in California, finally settling down in Santa Barbara - a city she loved.

Eileen spent 36 years as a nurse and nurse practitioner, and earned her masters degree at the University of Pennsylvania. Her experience extended to work with veterans, active service members, general practice, low-income families, prison inmates, and weight loss centers. A consummate professional, Eileen was defined by her great skill as a healthcare provider and by love for her family.

Eileen is survived by twin sons Sean LaFlamme and Christopher LaFlamme (Colleen), granddaughters Caelyn and Quinn (Christopher and Colleen); sister Janet Glatfelter (David), nephews Gary and Tommy; and parents Hugh and Ruth Curran.

Calling hours will be held 12pm Saturday 2/4 at St. Dorothy's Church in Drexel Hill, followed by a funeral mass at 1pm.
