City of Death

Santa Barbara

Loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend died suddenly, Wednesday, February 6, 2013, at 69 years old. Kenn was a long time resident of Santa Barbara. Kenn will be forever loved and missed dearly by his wife, Donna, sons Randall (Heather), Spencer, Curtis (Cynthia), Stuart, daughter Maggie and grandchildren, Matthew, Kaitlyn, Tyler and Gavin. Kenn also leaves behind his mother, Gloria Glenn Archer, brothers Charles and Jeff (Lynn) and sister Katherine Walsh (Michael). Kenn’s father Clarence, step father Charles Archer, and brother William preceded him in death.

Kenn was very well read and could walk into a room of strangers, make friends and talk to anyone about any subject. Kenn enjoyed being with his family, working in the yard, fixing things around the house, traveling, playing computer games, going to the movies, and talking on line with his computer buddies from all over the world. Kenn believed in education and served on the Hope School District Board for 13 years.

Kenn retired from the Santa Barbara Metropolitan Transit District in 2006, after 35 years of service. Kenn started as a driver, then supervisor and retired after several years of being the Senior Scheduler. Kenn considered the employees of MTD as his second family, he continued to fill in as needed and visit with current and retired employees. Kenn represented MTD on GPAC for many years.

A celebration of Kenn’s life was held on Friday, February 8 at the MTD facility. The family would like to thank everyone who helped plan and also those many friends who attended.
