Delia Elizabeth Raabe

Born at St. Francis Hospital, Santa Barbara, on October 15, 1963, to Susan Conlon Raabe and George A. Raabe, who welcomed Delia as their eleventh child. She attended Monte Vista and La Colina JH, completing school in San Diego. Her good nature and optimism pulled her through adversity time and time again. The disciplines of Tai Chi and Kung Fu were useful through life’s vagaries.

DeDe accomplished many dreams; silversmithing in Ireland, travel to Europe, spiritual sites, and music events. Nothing held her from a course once set; on her own terms, in her way and time. Sweet and sympathetic, she encouraged others as well.

Strength built on resolve, she sought to excel. A discerning inspection QC specialist, DeDe was notably employed by such as Cordis, Johnson & Johnson, Microsoft, and Boeing.

On December 5, in respite care near her home in Seattle, she passed quietly, too soon, from cancer. Survived by her eight sisters, four brothers, and extended families.
