Photo detail

This photo was taken from the beach west of Stearns Wharf on January 30, 1998. The wind was blowing hard out of the south, causing a southeast wind swell to couple with the large northwest swell. Late in the morning, the wind switched 180 degrees to the northwest. Knowing there was huge surf and offshore winds at the harbor, I grabbed a camera, covered it to protect it from the light rain, and took the shot. I was planning on surfing that day, but the breakwater was closed and there were trees floating in the brown water. -Mark Morey
