According to New Orleans microbiologist and absinthe expert Ted Breaux (above), his company’s product Lucid is the “first genuine absinthe to be approved for distribution in the United States since 1912.” There are at least two other liquors using true wormwood, however, and likely will be many more competitors in the years to come.
