OCEAN TO TABLE: Friedman tosses the harvested mussels onto the hand-washing table, where the work moves methodically to the hum of the engine and rocking of the sea. An hour later, he’s loading up his truck with garbage cans full of ready-to-cook mussels, which are distributed throughout the region by Santa Barbara Fish Market, Kanaloa Seafood, and Harbor Meat & Seafood.
