The museum redid more than 30 of its dioramas, many of which feature mammals and birds that had been preserved 100 years ago by the old Rett Brothers taxidermy shop on Rancheria Street. Curators were able to save the vast majority of the animals, like this sea lion, but some needed to be replaced.
