In 1953 we opened our doors in beautiful Santa Barbara as Danica House. We were one of the very first to recognize the incredible beauty and functionality of quality Danish and Scandinavian designs. Over the years we have expanded our range of offerings to include a wider range of styles based on the solid premise of sound design and quality from European and American designers.
Today, as MichaelKate Interiors, we bring the classic elegance and sophisticated style of mid-century, modern, contemporary and transitional genres together in a common harmony and grace. From the beauty of hand-crafted, solid hardwood designs from our own California Central Coast to fine European designs MichaelKate brings together the best the World has to offer in one remarkable location.
