I'm still pissed at Obama for his craven capitulation to big Pharma in exchange for their silence while introducing his health care reform act. That and his weakneed disregard for a single payer system gave us an early look at what has been his lack of backbone on many issues affecting average Americans.

Legislation is passed by the house and the senate, not Obama. There have been a record number of filibusters since 2008. Those who want Obama to be a one-term President have been relentless in killing the democratic process.

It is a well known fact (except to tabatha, apparently) that Obama made concessions to big pharma when looking for allies in the crafting of his reform proposals. Among those concessions were agreements not to pursue legislation allowing the importation of less expensive drugs from Canada, and also to oppose any move by Congress to allow government to bargain down drug prices for their programs.
I am trying my best to remain an Obama supporter , but these repeated capitulations, which are not in our best interest, are making it very hard .

Hmm, why the sudden attack on medical marijuana? I see now.

Capitalism at it's very essence is screw as many people as you can for as much as you can under the scoundrel banner of "Free Market" which means privatize the profits and socialize the debt and anyone who does not get this is a great example of "Marketing" or rather Brainwashing your consumers to be good little sheep and accept what the elites want from you. It's a real hoot to read people voting and voicing support for policies that are against their own self interests (since they are not elite) and are proven time and time again to be driven by ideology and not facts.

Obama, Bush, Clinton? They are on the same team representing the same monied interests and if you do not get that?

Lord help us, divide and conquer still works after four hundred years... you cannot make this up.
