by Takasha Wada, M.D., M.P.H., ADMHS Interim Director

On behalf of Santa Barbara County Department of Alcohol, Drug and Mental Health Services (ADMHS), I offer our sincere condolences to family members and friends of the four individuals senselessly killed last night near Santa Barbara.

We urge everyone in our community to help prevent future tragedies. If you observe a change in behavior in a family member, friend, student or co-worker, please talk with them and encourage them to seek help.

The ADMHS Access Line for alcohol, drug and mental health services is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week by calling 888-868-1649. ADMHS has offered to make mental health professionals available to schools and the community for counseling.
