Brent Melville’s “Lucky Dogg Winery” Hosts Winemaker Dinner feat. Menu by “Bacon & Brine’s” Chef Pink

Saturday, October 11: Brent Melville’s New “Lucky Dogg Winery” to Host Winemaker Dinner featuring Menu by “Bacon & Brine’s” Chef Pink

— Lucky Dogg Winery Owners, Brent Melville & Mead Whippo, will Welcome Guests
at Los Alamos’ “Verna’s Vineyard” for Multi-Course Wine Pairing Dinner —

On Saturday, October 11, 2014, in the midst of Santa Barbara Wine Country’s “Celebration of Harvest Weekend”, Lucky Dogg Winery (www.luckydoggwinery.com) Owner/Winemaker, Brent Melville, and Vice President/Owner, Mead Whippo, will host guests at a winemaker dinner event to be held at Cat Canyon’s Verna’s Vineyard, in Los Alamos, California, the source of Lucky Dogg Winery’s estate vineyard wines. The multi-course dinner created by “Chef Pink”, owner of Solvang sandwich purveyor, Bacon & Brine (www.baconandbrine.com), will pair Lucky Dogg’s current releases with inventive, farm-to-table cuisine by the spirited culinary veteran.

Lucky Dogg Winery officially launched in late-June 2014, pouring five current releases in their new Solvang wine tasting room: Lucky Dogg 2013 Viognier, 2013 Rosé of Pinot Noir, 2013 Pinot Noir, 2013 Syrah and 2013 Reserve Syrah – all derived from grapes grown at California Central Coast vineyard, Verna’s Vineyard, whose farming operations are managed by Lucky Dogg Winery’s Brent Melville.

Chef Pink – aka Crystal DeLongpre – and her wife, Courtney Rae DeLongpre, opened their Solvang eatery, Bacon & Brine, just a few months prior to Lucky Dogg’s grand opening, and post-Chef Pink’s TV debut on Food Network show, “Cutthroat Kitchen”. Brent and Mead procured the spirited Chef Pink for the October 11 winemaker dinner, as her edible efforts are aligned with Lucky Dogg Winery’s winemaking efforts to “keep it local” and keep it “quality” – the thought being that quality, local food producers and quality, local grapes, can create good-for-you meals and clean, balanced wines that give the chef, winemaker and consumer a direct connection to the food/grape source.

The exclusive October 11 event will run from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM (Cocktail Hour, 6:00 PM; Dinner, 7:00 PM), and is only open to 20 dinner guests. Tickets are priced at $95.00 per person for Lucky Dogg Wine Club Members, and $110.00 per person for non-club members; to purchase tickets, please visit: www.eventbrite.com/e/lucky-dogg-winery-winemaker-dinner-featuring-bacon-brines-chef-pink-tickets-12647640433.
