Sand Bag Availability

SANTA BARBARA, Ca. December 2, 2014 – According to the National Weather Service, a strong and moist southerly flow associated with a storm system just off the Southern California coast will bring moderate to heavy rainfall to the area for most of today and tonight. Rainfall rates of around one half of an inch per hour are expected possibly for several hours. Rainfall of this intensity
and duration has the potential to bring dangerous flash flooding with damaging mud and debris flows to the recent burn areas.

In anticipation of the approaching inclement weather, sand bags are available at the following Santa Barbara County locations:

Sand Bags can also be purchased at local building materials supply stores.
