A National Vigil for Victims of Gun Violence
Will Be Held On Thursday, December 11, 2014 at Trinity Episcopal Church
The Coalition Against Gun Violence, Rev. Mark Asman and Trinity Episcopal Church is hosting an INTERFAITH MEMORIAL on December 11, 2014 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the sanctuary to honor the victims and families of Isla Vista, a horrific tragedy we continue to mourn. Clergy from multiple faiths will be speaking. Photos will be displayed. Tapers will be lit. A BELL will tolled as each name is intoned. Our focus is a re-dedication and a renewed call to action to reduce violence in this season during which we often speak about peace. Together, each in our individual lives will dedicate ourselves to holding peace in our hearts and extending outward this spirituality with thought and action.
The Coalition Against Gun Violence is a non-profit coalition comprised of 40 member organizations, united on gun violence prevention and committed to creating a safer community for Santa Barbara County residents through its educational programs and advocacy for effective local, state and national policies and legislation.
