Cash Unexpectedly Found in Cars on De La Vina Street!

A local finance company has recently opened its doors to the public at 3016 De La Vina Street in Santa Barbara (directly across the street from Trader Joe’s). Established in 2006, ACT Finance seeks to assist people with immediate financial shortfalls by allowing them to borrow money against the equity in their car. This is known as a “title loan” and requires the borrower to own the car outright.
These typically short term cash loans are designed to help people stay on top of their finances when they are most in need. The money can be used for any reason, though most often it is applied towards items such as unexpected medical expenses, home/car repairs, school tuition, and foreign travel. “Our goal is to provide an alternative for people without quick access to traditional sources of cash,” said an ACT Finance representative. “People with bad credit or no credit need financial assistance too, and often cannot obtain it via standard methods.” Unlike at many financial institutions, the process for title loans is fast, with same day funding.
ACT Finance is a local company, and in addition to title loans it also offers used car loans for automobiles purchased at tri-county dealerships. Since 2006, a significant number of local residents have obtained car loans via these dealerships. Interestingly, requests are already coming in from these same customers to now obtain a title loan. ACT is happy to serve them again.
There are three easy ways to apply for a loan with ACT Finance: online at, over the phone with a representative at (805) 434-8008, or in person at the new office (in addition to existing offices in Santa Maria and Oxnard). ACT has a host of creative financial options, and makes it a win-win situation
