Startups focusing on sensors, consumer electronics and data present at
StartupSB’s Summer Demo Night at the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History
SANTA BARBARA, CA – For Immediate Release —
Santa Barbara area Startups will show off their products and businesses at StartupSB’s Summer Demo Night. The showcase, held on July 17th at 6:00 pm, is part of a series of monthly events, produced by StartupSB, a Santa Barbara community based organization focused on celebrating local startup companies, entrepreneurship and startup community on the Central Coast. The event is StartupSB’s third demo night, and will be held at the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History in the Fleishmann Auditorium.
The event will feature seven Santa Barbara based startups presenting their company and recently launched products. Five of the seven companies have also launched, or will be launching, crowd-funding campaigns. The group includes Trackr (Phone Halo) who have raised over a half a million dollars through 2 crowd funding campaigns on Indigogo.
Also presenting will be Salty Girl Seafood, a Santa Barbara based business that recently won multiple awards at UCSB’s New Venture Competition. Fuel Box, Smartstones, KaizenSCN, Tandemech Engineering and SweetsSpot will also present.
“We are excited to present at demo night with up-and-coming consumer electronics and data startups in Santa Barbara. It is especially exciting to see the other companies successfully leveraging crowd funding,” said Christian Smith, Co-Founder of TrackR. Smith, and Co-Founder Chris Herbert will present their latest crowd funding project, TrackR bravo (LINK). “At StartupSB’s demo night, we will be sharing our secrets on how we built our current generation of products with $0 of investment through the help of customers.”
The July 17 event will also feature food and drinks as part of the entry ticket. Food will include pizza from Rusty’s Pizza, a long time supporter of StartupSB, beer from Pure Order Brewing, and wines from Lucas and Lewellen Winery.
StartupSB connects startups and entrepreneurs in the Santa Barbara community to help develop a strong business ecosystem.
