Lifelong Learning meets 1st Thursday in Downtown Santa Barbara

“Teachers Break to Create” Exhibit on Display through July 28th

Santa Barbara, CA, June 30, 2014 – Join the SBCC Center for Lifelong Learning on 1st Thursday, July 3rd from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at CASA Magazine, 23 E. Canon Perdido St. in Santa Barbara, for an art exhibit featuring local art instructors, including the works of 15 CLL art teachers. The “Teachers Break to Create” exhibit gives local art educators a chance to display their own pieces. See figure drawings, paintings, sketches, sculpture and prints. In all, twenty local art instructors will be showcasing their pieces. There will be music, chess games, refreshments and more.

Artwork from CLL teachers include: Tony Askew, Nevin Littlehale, Lauren Manzo, Bob Mask, Cathy Quiel, Catharine Runkle, Jill Sattler, Libby Smith, Rick Stich, Suemae Lin Willhite, Duane Unkefer, Dug Uyesaka, Thomas Van Stein, Deborah Wroblewski and Siu Zimmerman. The exhibit will be on display through July 28th.

Upcoming CLL Art Classes include: Beginning Oil Painting, Keeping an Art Journal, Chinese Brush Painting and Meditation, and Expressive Figure Drawing.
