12,000 Free Masks For Saturday’s Solstice Parade

SANTA BARBARA — (June 18, 2014) — The Summer Solstice Celebration Group is proud to announce that leading solar service company, Sungevity, will join this weekend’s Solstice Festival as a lead sponsor. A key component of the Sungevity’s sponsorship are 12,000 sun-inspired masks that will be made available to Solstice parade goers at Opal, Pascucci, James Joyce and India House, all sponsors of Solstice. Solstice has produced masks for the event for more than 10 years, but through Sungevity’s sponsorship, this is the first time there are four colorful and creative versions from which parade goers can choose.
“At Sungevity, we make the process of going solar easy by providing homeowners with the best experience in the industry,” said Liz Ludwig, Sungevity’s Vice President of Marketing. “I’m afraid however, that parade goers aren’t going to have such an easy time selecting only one of the four masks created for this year’s event, since they are all so amazing.”
Four sun-inspired masks are available:

Sungevity’s Phantom of the Opera-esque mask (covering one eye) is, appropriately, of the Sun.

Pali-X-Mano’s mask plays off his design (of a sun and moon playing hop scotch) for this year’s Solstice poster.

Mary Williams, designer of the 2010 Solstice poster, created a Carnival-style mask.

A spotted, dotted and feathered mask is by Claudia Bratton.
