Carolyn I. Shupe has been elected to lead GFWC Town & Country Women’s Club of Santa Barbara. Carolyn has been a member of Town & Country for ten years and has served continuously on the Board. Town & Country is a non profit that does charitable, educational, and service programs for our community. It was founded in April 1959 with our first president being Ada Wing.!
Carolyn Shupe is a retired elementary teacher serving the Goleta Union School District for 32 years. In addition to her work with Town & Country she served Elks Lodge #613 as Chair person for Elks National Foundation and Grant Director receiving many Grants for our community. These Grants have helped the homeless, veterans, and children from the Isla Vista Youth Projects, and enhanced the gardening project of many elementary schools and organizations. Carolyn received national, state, and local recognition for her volunteer work.!
