Santa Barbara County Stand Down for Veterans to be Held October 18, 2014
Santa Maria—A stand down for homeless and at-risk veterans will be held Saturday, October 18, 2014, at the Santa Maria Fairpark, which is located at 937 S. Thornburg Street in Santa Maria. The event will run from 9 a.m.- 3 p.m.
Homeless and at-risk veterans will have the opportunity to receive food, clothing, health screenings, haircuts, showers, and learn about opportunities and programs including veterans treatment court, California ID Cards, housing, employment and training, mental health, legal assistance, and social services.
Applications for veterans who want to attend stand down are available at the Santa Barbara County Veteran Stand Down website: www.sbcountystanddown.com or by calling Supervisor Steve Lavagnino’s Office at (805) 346-8402. Applications can be printed directly from the Stand Down website, emailed, mailed or faxed upon request.
