SANTA BARBARA, Calif., October 8, 2014 – Actress Hallie Todd (Disney’s Lizzie McGuire) is coming to Santa Barbara Dance Arts to teach acting classes for kids, teens and young adults on Saturdays from October 18th through December 6th, 2014.
Todd is looking forward to teaching in the area.
“I’m very excited to work with the young people in Santa Barbara, whether it be introducing beginner students to the joys of acting or helping more experienced actors grow and perfect their craft. Many of the Santa Barbara students who have approached me are already participating in very ambitious performance-based groups, but without the advantage of ever having studied acting. I’m really looking forward to helping them enhance these experiences by presenting them with a set of skills to approach their work and create more honest and compelling performances,” said Todd.
Todd’s classes have been featured on ABC Primetime, and in the New York Times Sunday Magazine and the LA Times. Her students and private coaching clients have had success in not only gaining admission to prestigious acting programs (NYU Tisch, Stella Adler, CalArts, UCLA, USC, Rutgers, and Carnegie Mellon) but have worked professionally in theatre, film and television (The Best of Me, Super 8, The Intern, The Last of Us, Awkward, Glee and many more).
Santa Barbara Dance Arts students will receive a 10% discount on classes. Contact email@example.com before registering for more information.
