Announcing Ventura County Beer Week Sept. 14-21

ANNOUNCING VENTURA COUNTY BEER WEEK - SEPTEMBER 14-21;
CRAFT BEER EVENTS HAPPENING THROUGHOUT VENTURA COUNTY, LEADING UP TO CALIFORNIA BEER FESTIVAL’S “CRAFT BEER HEAVEN” (SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 20) ANDBLUES & BBQ FESTIVAL” (SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 21) AT VENTURA’S MISSION PARK



(Ventura, CA) - Ventura once again becomes Ground Zero for the Craft Beer Universe during Ventura County Beer Week, taking place September 14-21 and leading up to the big 2-day California Beer Festival on September 20 and 21 in Mission Park.

During Ventura County Beer Week many of the town’s finest nightspots host a variety of Craft Beer-themed events.

*Sunday, September 14 (all day): “California Beer Battle - NorCal vs. SoCal,” with NorCal’s Lagunitas Brewing (Hop Stoopid), Bear Republic (Grand Am Pale Ale), Firestone Walker (Velvet Merkin), Speakeasy (Big Daddy IPA), and Sierra Nevada (Southern Hemisphere); versus SoCal’s The Bruery (Tart Of Darkness), Stone Brewing (Arbalest), The Lost Abbey (Judgment Day Quadrupel), Port Brewing (Board Meeting Brown Ale), and Smog City (Sabre-Toothed Squirrel Red Ale). At Spencer Makenzie’s, 806 E. Thompson Blvd.

*Monday, September 15 (4 p.m. till closing): “Tap Takeover with Firestone Walker” featuring Velvet Merkin, Oaktoberfest, Pivo Pils, Wookey Jack, DBA, 805, and Union Jack. At Winchester’s, 632 E. Main St.

*Tuesday, September 16 (3 p.m. till closing): “Beer vs. Wine.” At Grapes & Hops, 454 E. Main St.

*Wednesday, September 17 (starts 5:30 p.m.): “Beer Dinner Beer War!” At Watermark, 598 E. Main St. (dinner service - reservations suggested).

*Thursday, September 18 (3 p.m. till closing): “Rare & Limited Craft Beer Party”. At Barrel House 101, 545 E. Thompson Blvd.

*Friday, September 19 (5:30-8:30 p.m.): “Brew With A View”. At The Tavern, 211 E. Santa Clara St.

On Saturday, September 20 and Sunday, September 21, the 6th Annual Ventura California Beer Festival returns, with Saturday’s “Craft Beer Heaven” followed by Sunday’s “Blues & BBQ Festival.”
