Animal Rescue Annual Fundraiser

ANIMAL RESCUE TEAM, INC. TO HOLD SIXTH ANNUAL FUNDRAISER
WITH A FREE DINNER, HEADLINE ENTERTAINMENT AND HOSTED BAR
Funds raised from ticket sales and silent auction are needed
to meet record-breaking demand for wildlife rescue and rehabilitation

SOLVANG, CA – The Animal Rescue Team, Inc. (ART), a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that rescues and rehabilitates injured, sick and orphaned wildlife, will hold its sixth annual fundraiser on Friday, October 3, 2014 from 6:00 – 10:00 p.m. at the Santa Ynez Historical Society in Solvang.

Event-goers will enjoy a free tri-tip, chicken or vegetarian dinner catered by Me and Lou’s Barbecue & Catering, wines generously donated wildlife-friendly Koehler Winery, entertainment by the Santa Ynez Valley-based John Corbett Band, and the opportunity to bid on exciting silent auctions such as dinners, cases of wine and local adventures. Fundraiser tickets cost $100 and may be purchased online or by phone.

“We’ve rescued and rehabilitated more wildlife so far this year than any other year, and the drought is only increasing our operational costs,” said ART Executive Director Julia Di Sieno. “Typically, we rehabilitate 200 animals each year, but so far in 2014, we’ve already rehabilitated 300. We need to expand our rescue facility and hire additional staff to treat 400 animals next year. In order to do that, we need to raise $50,000 at this event to meet the increasing demand of rehabilitating all the injured, sick and orphaned wildlife that’s been coming in.”

ART is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and one of only 90 organizations in California licensed to rehabilitate all native wildlife. At ART’s new rehabilitation facility in Solvang, injured, sick and orphaned animals receive the highest level of rehabilitative care for release back to its natural habitat.
