IdeaWork Studios Crafts New Site for International House Hotel, New Orleans’ First Boutique Hotel
Santa Barbara, CA and New Orleans, LA; September 2014 – Branding and interactive agency, IdeaWork Studios, has the honor of introducing the new website for New Orleans’ first boutique hotel, International House Hotel. The historic 1906 Beaux-Arts style building has a diverse and important local history, first as a bank, and then in 1943 as International House, the first World Trade Center. Forward looking but instantly familiar, International House was a design icon from the jump, heralding a bright new time in New Orleans and honoring its role as both local institution and international destination.
Understanding the unique character of International House Hotel – historic yet new – the team at IdeaWork Studios worked to craft a singular aesthetic. “I first visited this hotel a year ago. That’s when I fell in love with the city and the people of New Orleans. Our goal with this project was to capture the essence of this New Orleans property,” says Jay Schwartz, Founder and Chief Creative Officer of IdeaWork Studios. “This website really needed to be thoughtfully architected, designed, and executed. The property is not only beautiful and historic, it has an amazing spirit that reflects the personality of New Orleans.”
