Rosh Hashanah Services at the Glen Muse Estate in Ojai!

Chabad of Ojai Valley invites all Jews, regardless of background or affiliation, to join us for Rosh Hashanah Services to be held this year at the Glen Muse Estate.

Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, is observed this year on the eve of Sept.13 through Sept.15. Literally meaning “Head of the Year,” the two-day holiday commemorates the creation of the world and marks the beginning of the Days of Awe, a 10-day period of introspection and returning that culminates in the Yom Kippur holiday on Sept. 22 evening through Sept. 23 evening.

The Rosh Hashanah Services will be held on Sunday night Sept.13 at 7:00pm Monday & Tuesday, Sept 14 and 15 at 10am and Monday night Sept 14 at 7:30pm at the Glen Muse Estate. The highlight of the service is the Shofar sounding ceremony which will take place at about 11:30am on both days.

There will be a special children’s program, complete with games and prizes, during morning services on both days of the holiday run by spirited counselors and teachers.

Following the morning services, there will be a special ceremony known as “Tashlich” where Jews symbolically throw their sins to the water on the New Year.

Our Services are traditional, full of mystical meaning and are open to all Jews regardless of background or affiliation. We are very excited to be holding our very first Rosh Hashanah services at the whimsical Glen Muse Estate, a perfect setting for Rosh Hashanah and look forward to having a joyful and meaningful High Holiday experience with our friends and neighbors in the community.
