In the first month of the new fiscal year, the City of Santa Barbara collected more than $2.2 million in Transient Occupancy Taxes (TOT), resulting in a growth of 5.6% over the same month last year. The number of weekend days in a month directly affects lodging revenues and the City’s TOT. July 2015 had one extra weekend night compared to July 2014.
The budget for Fiscal Year 2016, which runs from July 1 through June 30, is $19,707,100.
