Solvang, Santa Ynez Valley, California—The 53rd annual Santa Ynez Valley Cottage Hospital (SYVCH) Holiday Gala held on December 5, 2015, at the Santa Ynez Valley Marriott Hotel in Buellton raised $20,000 to support the services the hospital provides to the community. The event was coordinated by SYVCH Foundation’s Gala Committee led by Gerry Shepherd, June Martin, Senior Administrative Assistant Martine Surey, Becky Christenson, Kay Alves, Phyllis Cunningham and SYVCH Foundation Directors Barbara Anderson, Lana Clark, Kate Firestone and Tresha Sell. The Santa Ynez Valley Cottage Hospital Foundation (SYVCHF) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to develop, manage and channel the community’s financial support on behalf of Santa Ynez Valley Cottage Hospital, thereby serving not only to protect, but also enhance the hospital as a valuable community asset.

Wende Cappetta, SYVCH Vice President stated, “We are so appreciative of the generous support not only from the 240 people in attendance including Foundation members, donors, employees and volunteers, but also for the local businesses that donated to the silent auction. We enjoyed a gourmet dinner then danced to Sloane & The Smooth Tones live band. Funds raised at the Gala supports medical excellence close to home.”

Additional sponsors of the event included Montecito Bank & Trust, Santa Ynez Valley Marriott, Geoffrey Claflin and Alison Wrigley Rusack, El Rancho Market, Hitching Post II and Lucas & Lewellen Vineyards.
