Lawsuit Challenging the Marriott Residence Inn Has Been Withdrawn
The City of Goleta is pleased to report that the lawsuit challenging the approval of the Marriott Residence Inn project has been withdrawn. The lawsuit questioned the Environmental Impact Report for the project.
The City Council approved the 118 room extended stay project on September 16, 2014. This project is located on the northeast corner of Hollister Avenue at Robin Hill Road.
Since the lawsuit has been withdrawn, the developer will now be able to move forward with construction without modification to the approved plans. Water for this project was allocated by Goleta Water District prior to the adoption of the moratorium.
