Stantec’s Autumn Glaeser Appointed President for Regional Branch of National Engineering Association

Stantec is pleased to announce that Autumn Glaeser has been appointed president of the American Society of Civil Engineers’ (ASCE) Santa Barbara-Ventura Branch for the 2015-16 year. A senior civil engineer in the firm’s Santa Barbara office, Glaeser was appointed following her tenure on the board as vice president. She will be responsible for establishing outreach programs which encourage youth to explore careers in engineering, among other initiatives. On the organization’s board, Glaeser is joined by Camarillo-based Stantec civil engineer Ben Fischetti, who was appointed as vice president for the same term.

“I am honored to serve in this role and to be surrounded by an amazing professional community” said Glaeser. “The projects and people that make up our regional engineering community have an important footprint in California and I look forward to our organization making an impact in communicating that story.”

In addition to ASCE, Glaeser was actively involved in the Society of Women Engineers as a collegiate leadership coach for more than eight years. Among her notable projects include the Vandenberg Air Force Base Water Model, where she was the team’s design engineer, working to update the base’s water model and provide training to the base personnel. Glaeser currently resides in Santa Barbara and is a graduate of California State University, Long Beach, where she earned her bachelor’s in civil engineering.
