The Santa Barbara County Arts Commission is currently accepting Community Arts Enrichment (CAE) Grant Applications for its spring cycle. The Final Deadline for online submission is April 30th. Grant applications and information are available at http://www.sbartscommission.org/grants/CAE_grants.html.
This is the seventh grant cycle since 2012, when the Grants program was developed through a partnership with the County Arts Commission and Santa Barbara Bowl Foundation. Since the initial grant cycle, 59 organizations have received funding and significant progress has been made in identifying and expanding resources and opportunities that have increased access to arts countywide. “CAE Grants funding has served as a catalyst for greater community engagement in the arts and culture of our region particularly in underserved communities,” states Ginny Brush, Executive Director of the County Arts Commission.
In this grant cycle there is $14,200 in funding available to award. Grant requests may range from $500 to $5,000. Funding for the grant pool comes from an Arts Subsidy Fund established by the Bowl Foundation that earmarks $.25 of every Bowl concert ticket sold going to support the grants program.
The Community Arts Enrichment (CAE) Grants fund provide support for a variety of new and innovative projects, joint and collaborative efforts that leverage community resources, and provide greater and more diverse participation in the arts throughout Santa Barbara County.
The Spring Cycle grant applications will be reviewed by a panel made up of County Arts Commissioners from the 1st, 3rd and 5th Supervisorial Districts; a member of the Santa Barbara Bowl Foundation; and Arts Commission staff. Grant applicants will be notified within 45 days of the grant application deadline.
Grant information is available online at http://www.sbartscommission.org/grants/CAE_grants.html or call (805) 568-3990 for more information. First-time applicants are encouraged to contact Arts Commission staff for details, technical support and guidance at 568-3992.
