Montecito Bank & Trust celebrates 40th anniversary by giving back to local nonprofit organizations chosen by Bank associates

Santa Barbara, CA - Montecito Bank & Trust celebrated its 40th anniversary by awarding Anniversary GrantsSM to 10 local nonprofit organizations during a special reception Tuesday evening. In honor of Montecito Bank & Trust’s milestone of serving the community for 40 years, each Anniversary GrantsSM recipient received a special $4,000 grant to continue pursuing their missions, an increase from the $1,500 grant given out most years as part of this program. What makes Anniversary GrantsSM unique is that the award recipients are chosen by Bank associates.

Janet A. Garufis, President and CEO said, “Since it began in 1993, Anniversary GrantsSM has been an integral part of our unwavering commitment to corporate philanthropy and the communities we serve. This is a special and significant event for us not only because of the financial support it provides, but also because it reflects Montecito Bank & Trust’s commitment to empowering our associates to personally make a difference; they are the heart of this program because they are intimately involved in the selection process, determining who will receive these awards each year. Our associates dedicate significant time volunteering for these nonprofit organizations and it’s inspiring to see how much they care about making an impact. We couldn’t be happier to give them the chance to present these coveted Anniversary GrantsSM awards to the organizations that play such a major role in the community and mean so much to them personally.

I am pleased to announce the 2015 Montecito Bank & Trust Anniversary GrantsSM recipients: Domestic Violence Solutions, Dos Pueblos Engineering Academy, Marjorie Luke Theatre, NatureTrack Foundation, Neal Taylor Nature Center at Cachuma Lake, Page Youth Center, Pierre Claeyssens Veterans Foundation, Project: Rescue Flight, Rotary DreamCatcher Playground and What is LOVE.

Montecito Bank & Trust would like to offer a special thanks to our corporate partner, Cox Communications, for generously producing a short promotional video which showcases each of the recipient’s extraordinary work. In addition to the funding, our recipients appreciate these Cox videos as an invaluable resource to continue their fundraising efforts.”
