Recent changes to labor laws this year have made labor compliance challenging for businesses of all sizes this year. On May 13, 2015 at 8:00 a.m., Stradling Attorneys at Law will be partnering with the Santa Barbara Human Resources Association to lead this year’s Employment Law Mid-Year Update, which aims to clarify many of these issues. The half-day seminar will be held at Santa Barbara’s beautiful Canary Hotel and promises to be a valuable opportunity to learn about new labor laws and legal amendments that are likely to affect businesses in the state of California.
Registration is currently open online at SBHRA.org. The Employment Law Mid-Year Update will cover changes to labor laws both nationally and at the state level, as well as covering recent cases and events that are likely to set the precedent for labor compliance moving forward.
The program will be led by attorneys Jeffrey Dinkin and Nicole Zajack, who each bring a wealth of experience and legal savvy. The two are experienced in counseling businesses on a wide variety of subjects related to acquisitions, wage and hour compliance, reductions in force, and best practices and policies for human resource management.
