Santa Barbara, CA – Saturday October 24th 2015 – Yuck! Eww! Are a few of the responses that people usually have when it comes to reptiles and amphibians. Fortunately for us, our local Reptile Family has been inspiring the discovery and appreciation of the earth’s most misunderstood creatures through innovative, educational, entertaining and hands-on experiences in a safe and caring environment since 1992. One of their main goals is to replace fallacy with fact and fear with respect.
Come see, feel and hear these reptiles and amphibians after you enjoy a pancake breakfast to support the San Marcos Parent-Child Workshop (SMPCW); a non-profit, cooperative preschool. Ticket price includes an all you can eat pancake and sausage breakfast with coffee, tea, juice and milk. Stay for the crafts, face painting and The Reptile Family’s hands on experience.
Since 1959, SMPCW has provided Santa Barbara families and children between the ages of 2-5 years, a quality preschool experience, using devel Lea Blackburn
opmentally appropriate practices. The nurturing, loving environment makes an ideal first educational and social experience for children and brings out the best in parents. Together with families, SMPCW helps instill a sense of community and provides a space that embodies the spirit of learning, while having fun and giving back to the Santa Barbara community.
Event will be held on Saturday Oct. 24th from 8:00 am until 11:30 am at Community Covenant Church; 5070 Cathedral Oaks Road Santa Barbara, CA 93111. The Reptile Family will be present from 10 am until 11 am. Tickets are available for purchase at the door and online, cost $8 and $5 (under 2 free).
