Santa Barbara, October 8, 2015, The Breast Cancer Resource Center of Santa Barbara (BCRC) announces a new Breast Cancer Survivorship workshop program, entitled “Mind-Body Healing Skills” developed to enhance one’s sense of well-being during and after breast cancer treatment.
Once a week, over a period of six weeks, the free course imparts an effective combination of research based mind-body healing techniques to help deal with the physical and emotional challenges of life brought about because of breast cancer treatment.
Each workshop will focus on a single topic such as: guided imagery, stress releasing movement, meditation, journaling, self-acupressure and intuitive drawing session. As a result of participating in this comprehensive and interactive course clients will develop better coping skills and practice techniques to use daily to help reduce and relieve stress, enhance a sense of wellbeing, and encouragement of engaging in life.
The free course is facilitated by Lisa Kelly, PhD, BCC, and Ellen Fogel, MSW, BCRC Director of Integrative Care.
