GOLETA – The re-construction of two large drainage culverts on Las Vegas Creek and San Pedro Creek along U.S. Highway 101 near Fairview Avenue is continuing with trenching, earthwork and the pouring of concrete. Motorists will continue to encounter the following ramp closures:
The northbound on-ramp and southbound off-ramp to US Highway 101 at Fairview Avenue remains closed 24/7 until January 2016. The on/off ramps of U.S. Highway 101 at Los Carneros Road are open.
This project will improve capacity, prevent flooding north of Calle Real and reconstruct the US Highway 101 southbound off-ramp at Fairview Avenue.
This $17 million project is 70% complete and is expected to be done by the end of 2016.
