Vitamin Angels’ Coastal Golf Classic Raises Over $175,000 Toward Goal to Reach 1 Million Children

SANTA BARBARA, CA – Vitamin Angels, a local nonprofit that provides vitamins to children and mothers in need, has already raised over $175,000 in advance of its 3rd Annual Coastal Golf Classic, taking place at Sandpiper Golf Course in Santa Barbara on Friday, September 25. The organization has set a goal to raise enough funds to help one million happier, healthier children.

“We are thrilled with how much we’ve raised so far, but we still have a ways to go,” said Howard Schiffer, president and founder of Vitamin Angels. “Every sponsorship and registration counts. Each dollar we raise goes directly toward our efforts to bring critically needed vitamins to children and mothers in the U.S. and around the world.

The event will consist of a 12 p.m. shotgun start at the golf course and the afternoon will conclude with a cocktail reception and dinner. Entertainment for the evening will feature a special performance by the Linda Vega Dance Studio and special guest speakers including Vitamin Angels’ President Howard Schiffer.

The event is open to the public. Limited sponsorships are still available and golfer registration is still open. A discount on registration is available to local Santa Barbara and Ventura County residents. Those interested in sponsoring or attending can register at For more information about the event or locals’ discount, please contact Megan Conrad at 805.564.8400 or via email at
