Celebrate Grape Crush with a Big Squeeze at Bedford Winery
Accordion jokes are a dime a dozen. But a good accordion player is priceless.
On Saturday, Oct. 10, Bedford Winery brings accordionist Jeffery Iacono to Santa Barbara County as part of the 2015 Celebration of Harvest Festival. Along with live music, the evening will include a harvest-fresh country fare and local wine on the winery’s intimate courtyard in historic Los Alamos.
Tickets are $15 per person and includes one glass of wine. The event begins at 4 p.m.
Jeffery Iacono is a former heavy metal drummer and jazz vocalist from Southern California who turned to the accordion later in life. He plays an wide repertoire on his rare Italian accordion, including American jazz tunes and French, Italian and Brazilian standards.
Seasonal cuisine will be provided by owner and winemaker Stephan Bedford, who has made food and wine in Santa Barbara County since the early 1980s. He specializes in crafting antique varieties from the Los Alamos Valley in an old world, age-worthy style. Current offerings include Chenin Blanc, Grenache, Mourvèdre, Cabernet Franc and Syrah.
