Organic Soup Kitchen Readies For 8th Annual Christmas Meal
Santa Barbara, CA - Dec. 19, 2016 - The Santa Barbara based Organic Soup Kitchen, which serves over 35,000 meals per year, is preparing for its eighth annual Christmas Day dinner and Christmas Eve gift-wrapping party. After feeding hundreds of men, women, and children at its 8th Annual Thanksgiving Dinner last month, the volunteer-based organization is seeking donations to continue to make the holidays bright.
Gift donations of adult backpacks, adult coats in all sizes, hoodies in size XL, and socks can be dropped off from noon to 2pm on Dec. 24th during the gift-wrapping party at the Veterans Memorial Building, 112 West Cabrillo Blvd., also where the holiday meals are served on Dec. 25th from noon to 3pm. For any gifts dropped off before then, donors are asked to e-mail Andrea@organicsoupkitchen.org for drop-off at the UPS Store, 315 Meigs Road, Suite A 369. Please note: “Organic Soup Kitchen Box 369” should be written on the gift.
Organic Soup Kitchen’s weekly contribution to the Santa Barbara community includes serving hundreds of seniors, cancer patients and survivors, medical outpatients, and veterans.
