The Santa Barbara Wine Collective & Fess Parker Celebrate “Fesstivity” Release with Bubbles & Oysters February 11

The Santa Barbara Wine Collective and Fess Parker Wines in Santa Barbara’s Funk Zone

The Santa Barbara Wine Collective and Fess Parker Wines celebrate the second release of Fesstivity Sparkling Wines from Fess Parker with a special tasting and freshly shucked oysters from The Jolly Oyster on Thursday, February 11, 2016 from 5:30-8:30 p.m.

Fesstivity sparkling wines are a collaborative effort for Parker siblings Eli Parker and Ashley Parker Snider. Ashley is a long time fan of “bubbles” and Eli relishes every opportunity to tap into his winemaking roots and get back in the cellar. This second-only release of the Fesstivity Blanc de Blancs and Brut Rosé has proven to be a great expression of their shared vision of fresh and exciting wines from the finest Chardonnay and Pinot Noir vineyards in the Sta. Rita Hills AVA. The Santa Barbara News Press declared Fesstivity 2013 Blanc de Blanc as a ‘clear cut winner’ in a blind tasting of local sparkling wines. The February tasting is a rare opportunity to sample these promising 2014 releases.

Featured are 2014 “Fesstivity” Blanc de Blancs – Sparkling Chardonnay from the “Parker West” and “Ashley’s” Vineyards; and2014 “Fesstivity” Brut Rose – Sparkling Pinot Noir from the “Rio Vista” and “Ashley’s” Vineyards. To complement the sparkling wines during the tasting event, The Jolly Oyster serves their sustainably-farmed oysters on the Collective’s outdoor patio.
