Spring into Health: Santa Ynez Valley Cottage Hospital Offers Free Nutrition & Diabetes Education Classes in April & May 2016

Solvang, Santa Ynez Valley, California— The public is invited to attend free nutrition and diabetes education classes this spring at Santa Ynez Valley Cottage Hospital, 2050 Viborg Road in Solvang. Led by Clinical Dietitian Stacey Bailey, MS, RD, CDE, all classes are held in the hospital’s conference room (enter through the Physicians Clinic). These classes encourage and support healthy eating habits for all ages. Bailey remarked, “With spring in full swing, it’s time to get outside, exercise and eat healthier food. Let me share some tips during these informal, free classes. Just come as you are whenever you can, there’s no RSVP required. You’re certainly welcome to bring your own lunch to eat during class. We’re very informal.”

She provides both inpatient and outpatient dietary management and counseling services, as well as assists in the formulation of meal and menu planning specifically for Santa Ynez Valley Cottage Hospital.
