Bacara’s Chef Lesage has curated a menu worthy of his Parisian training and Michelin-starred background for the annual American Cancer Society Riviera Ball, to be held on December 3rd at the Bacara Resort & Spa. Brandon Ragan Project will perform soft jazz during the guest reception and silent auction at 5:30 pm, followed by dinner. Emcee Janet Garufis, CEO Montecito Bank and Trust, and the ever-popular Andrew Firestone, our lively auctioneer, will lead the evening program, with entertainment by DJ Scott Topper during the dinner and after the program where you will dance the night away to your favorite tunes.

The Society’s signature gala is being presented by Agilent Technologies and co-chaired by Chuck Bischof and Denise Sanford with honorees Dr. Fred Kass of the Cancer Center of Santa Barbara with Sansum Clinic and pediatric cancer patient, Amaia Laskin who will be speaking about her courageous journey.
Funds raised at the gala will continue to support the free services to local cancer patients, health care providers and caregivers by the American Cancer Society, as well as the ongoing research by the Society.
The auction will include a Viking European River Cruise, Rams vs. 49ers tickets, a cabin stay in the Black Hills, and a Holiday Lights Tour on the Santa Barbara Trolley for 30 with appetizers at Harry’s Bar and Grill.

For more than 100 years, The American Cancer Society has been leading the fight to end cancer. With your continued support, we have helped usher in an era where more people survive cancer than ever before. Thanks in part to the American Cancer Society, more than 14 million cancer survivors will celebrate birthdays this year. By translating our research findings into action, we have seen a 20% decline in cancer death rates in the United States since the early 1990s. Join us to help finish the fight.
