News Release (SB County) - Two Day Full Daytime Closure of State Route 246 Near Lompoc For Resurfacing Begins November 28

A one-mile section of State Route 246 from Sweeny Road to Mission Gate will be closed on Nov. 28 and Nov. 29 from 6 am until 4 pm for resurfacing.

Motorists traveling in each direction will detour from State Route 246 between State Route 1 (H) Street and North Purisima Road. Residents who live within the project area will experience a short delay entering or exiting their driveways.

Electronic message boards and detour signs will assist motorists who will encounter delays not to exceed 10 minutes.

This two-day project will be performed by the Caltrans Maintenance team in Buellton, CA.

Caltrans reminds motorists to move over and slow down when driving through highway construction zones.
