Goleta, CA – The Goleta Chamber of Commerce is holding the first Old Town Business Summit at the Butler Event Center in Old Town Goleta on Wednesday, November 16th at 9:30 a.m.
The Chamber invites business owners and community members to attend this free event focused on improving the business climate in Old Town Goleta. The Chamber is working on building relationships, doing research and making recommendations.
The program will feature a panel of old town businesses, an update on infrastructure from the City of Goleta and a keynote address on placemaking.
Speakers include: Phil Unander, Larry’s 8 Day Auto Parts; Eric Onnen, Santa Barbara Airbus; Anne Pazier, Santa Barbara Gift Baskets; Phebe Mansur, Copyright Printing; and Jackie Parker, Parker Family Trust.
The City of Goleta will give an update on several important infrastructure projects like parking lots and crosswalk enhancements.
The keynote speaker, Chris Beynon, is from the firm MIG, which specializes in the most modern urban planning models and community building programs.
The event will conclude at 11:30 a.m.; boxed lunches will be provided for networking under the heritage tree, or attendees may take it to go.
