Presidential Candidate Jill Stein in Santa Barbara

Who: Jill Stein, Green Party Presidential Candidate
What: Green Party Rally
When: 9:30 am – 1pm, Saturday October 8th, 2016
Where: De La Guerra Plaza
Why: Green Party Presidential Candidate, Jill Stein, will be speaking at a rally in De La Guerra Plaza in downtown Santa Barbara on October 8th. She will be addressing serious problems with the current two-party political system and arguing for fuller access to the presidential debates for third party candidates. Recent polls have shown that 76% of the public want to have all four candidates in the debates. Unfortunately, the public will is being ignored by the corporate debate commission which is controlled by the two dominant political parties.
“Th[is] presidential campaign shows that the electorate is more diverse than can be represented by two parties,” said former Santa Monica Mayor and Green Party of California spokesperson Michael Feinstein.
