Consciousness Network Founder
Recognized by Mayor Schneider
23-Year Old Profoundly Impacts Community
Forrest Leichtberg, 23, has been honored with a proclamation from Santa Barbara Mayor Helene Schneider on behalf of the Santa Barbara City Council, acknowledging and congratulating him for the continuing success and growth of The Santa Barbara Consciousness Network he founded, and for encouraging all members of the Santa Barbara community to exchange and share knowledge and promote positivity.
The award was presented at September’s “Conscious Networking Event” of the Santa Barbara Consciousness Network, by Ryan Mandell, a long-time friend of Leichtberg’s, who called him a true leader of the conscious community in Santa Barbara and an inspiration to the entire community. Mandell said Leichtberg has gone from a near-tragic four-year experience beginning at age 17 to his current position of inspirational entrepreneurship. Mandell described Leichtberg’s journey as an “extraordinary example of human tenacity in the face of extreme adversity.”
A few years ago, Leichtberg experienced a life-threatening health event, which led him to delve deeply into the self-help field, and, after a long and difficult healing process, ultimately helped him find his purpose heading The Santa Barbara Consciousness Network — now Santa Barbara’s most popular, fastest-growing networking and event organization of its kind.
Within a matter of six months, the Conscious Networking Events have become known and beloved throughout Santa Barbara’s conscious community. Hundreds of people have attended the events and many of the area’s leading businesses and organizations have lent their support.
The Santa Barbara Consciousness Network is the only platform of its kind in the greater Santa Barbara area, providing a unique networking platform for conscious businesses and the general public to connect and share their needs and services. Each event features a well-known speaker, entertainment and local vendors — including the area’s leading conscious businesses and organizations offering a variety of special products, unique services, on-site healers and quality organic food.
Santa Barbara Consciousness Network’s mission is simple: to bridge the world’s change agents for maximum impact, and to help people share their knowledge, power and growth potential for the betterment of humanity. Goals include:
• uniting Santa Barbara’s conscious community;
• raising awareness about what is available to promote healing and positivity in our personal and collective destiny;
• strengthening the connectedness of the community and nurturing their collaboration within it, and assisting agents of change in making a true impact on the planet;
• assisting personal and collective transformation through education, inspirational and entertaining lectures, forums and Q&As;
• supporting and promoting the local economy and responsible businesses and organizations;
• supporting the well-being of the community;
• expanding into other cities and areas.
Forrest Leichtberg says: “What we are seeing is the birth of a movement, one that can impact the lives of countless people. This community’s response to our events has been nothing short of astonishing. I attribute our success in this community to the heart that’s been poured into all of this, and to the fact that this is something the members of our community have been looking for. These are people with the spiritual substance — and the hunger for self-improvement and social justice — that can lead to a greater, more harmonious world for us all.Through the Consciousness Network, we are doing everything we can to add real value to the lives of people in this community. I am honored to be recognized by the mayor and City Council of Santa Barbara and look forward to continuing my efforts to bring life-enhancing services, experiences, connectivity, and positive events to the Santa Barbara community.”
