Vintners Foundation Rounds Out a Year of Record-breaking Giving

Santa Barbara Vintners
Round Out Record-breaking Year of Giving

Celebration of Harvest Silent Auction to Raise Funds for Foodbank

Buellton, Calif. – Santa Barbara Vintners will finish up a record-setting year of fundraising at the Celebration of Harvest Silent Auction held at Old Mission Santa Ines in Solvang on October 8. Vintners have dug deep into their cellars, signed rare and one-of-a-kind bottles, and designed unique private events to compile an unprecedented offering of auction items for this annual event.

Proceeds from the Celebration of Harvest Silent Auction will benefit Foodbank of Santa Barbara County, and rounds out a year of record-breaking donations given throughout the local community by the Santa Barbara Vintners Foundation.

The Vintners Foundation began their 2016 fundraising activities at their biennial Santa Barbara Wine Auction benefiting Direct Relief headquartered in Goleta, raising more than $1.2 Million which provides medical aid locally as well as through-out the world. In July, proceeds from the Vintners 5 Miler went toward sponsorship of People Helping People’s Vino de Sueños event as well as Los Alamos After-School Youth Program. Proceeds from the silent auction at the Santa Barbara Vintners Festival in April funded scholarships for local students and a donation to Allan Hancock College Enology and Viticulture program.

“Thanks to the generous participation of members of the Santa Barbara Vintners, we’ve been able to raise the level of support we are able to provide to organizations that serve every corner of Santa Barbara County,” explains Vintners Foundation board president, Steve Fennell. “Whether it’s Direct Relief’s distribution of dental kits to low-income families, People Helping People’s support of the Los Alamos After-School Program or the Foodbank’s Mobile Farmers Market providing fresh produce to families from Carpinteria to Guadalupe, the Vintners Foundation contributions make a difference in the lives of Santa Barbara County residents.”
