April Lecture Series Highlights ‘Planning for Elder Care’

Santa Barbara, CA

Santa Barbara Village and the University Club of Santa Barbara announce, ‘Planning
for Elder Care’, the seventh presentation in the Empowered Aging Monthly Lecture Series. This series takes place on the second Tuesday of each month at the University Club and is free and open to the public. Seating is limited, so reservations must be made prior to the scheduled presentation.


The ‘Planning for Elder Care’ presentation will take place Tuesday, April 11th from
2:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. at the University Club of Santa Barbara, 1332 Santa Barbara St., 93101. The keynote speaker, Dallas Leigh Atkins, JD, MA, is an elder care law attorney and member of the National Academy of Elder Care Attorneys, the Academy of Special Needs Planners and ElderCounsel and Elder Care Matters. Recent beneficial changes in Long Term Care Medi-Cal rules; what Medicare or Medi-Cal pays for in a nursing home; detrimental changes in the future; and, why Long Term Care Medi-Cal is a middle class program will be some of the many topics included in the presentation.
