Help Us Now to Save Lives & Save the Earth

Eco Friendly Cleaners is honored to support the lifesaving work of the Glendon Association during April and June; a reception will be held on April 20th you are invited
A Santa Barbara-based business and a non-profit dedicated to suicide prevention are teaming up during April & May to raise funding and awareness for a critical issue. Eco Friendly Cleaners is donating 10% of sales from their services to the Glendon Association to support their life-saving work in the community. Glendon’s mission is to save lives by addressing the public health issues of suicide & violence and have been on the forefront of responses to many local critical and traumatic events.
“We chose to partner with the Glendon Association because of their powerful work in Santa Barbara, Goleta, Isla Vista and other places in our county”, says Samantha Journey, an owner of Eco Friendly, along with her husband Greg. “Glendon not only focuses on the trauma of loss, but also provides critical resources to prevent suicide and empowers people to thrive in their relationships and in the community after seeking help. We felt that our company focus on protecting the planet by caring for the environment complemented the Glendon Association’s charter to protect the lives of people in crisis. We wanted to find a meaningful way to help.”
Suicide and depression have impacted Ms. Journey and her family personally, having lost her uncle (whom she was given her middle name after) by suicide. “I know our family changed that day forever. I would never want anyone to go through what my mom went through when she lost her brother. This fundraising campaign is to honor his memory and create resources to help people struggling with regaining mental wellness.”
As part of the 8-week campaign and in celebration of Earth Day, there will be a reception hosted by Eco Friendly Cleaners on Thursday, April 20th from 5:30 to 7:30 pm Located at 127 W. Canon Perdido Street. There will be live music by local musician Luminesse Lee, appetizers and wine donated by Barbareño.
