Worry-Free Advocacy AND California Ballot Measure Rules

Join us for a legal workshop to learn not just the IRS rules that apply to all 501(c)(3) organizations, but also California’s Political Reform Act which regulates lobbying and ballot measure activity in California. In addition to all of the content described above, this session provides an overview of the state’s lobbying disclosure law, including when an organization should register and file reports disclosing lobbying expenditures, and how the California definition of lobbying differs from the IRS definition of lobbying. The session will also introduce the law as it applies to ballot measure activity, what needs to be disclosed, and what activities do not require disclosure.
